Online Only Timed Auction

Highlights/Auctioneers
Note:
After 60 years in the
Bicycle business, Alan Keimig is retiring! He has entrusted us to list his
remaining inventory and hold an online auction for him. This auction is huge,
with more than 1600 individual lots to show you. I have made a quick “table of contents”
for your ease in searching. If you are a bike enthusiast, a dealer, a
repair shop or a store, we have something for you!
This
building originally housed “American Tile Company” before Tom Sawyer moved in.
You will see some remnants of that business from what we dug out of the
basement. When he moved in they repaired mowers as well. Eventually he
concentrated on bikes and became the Schwinn dealer in town till this day.
We
started cataloging in the basement and worked our way upstairs. Any old inventory
should be considered reusable and not defective. Through the years this shop
would offer used or new items for replacement on customers’ bikes. Some
of the bikes shown are customer repairs that were never picked up at
completion. Likewise, the parts were stripped as needed, thereby leaving good
frames and the like.
When
we got upstairs, we started with the back room which had old advertising, old
bikes and such. Moving into the showroom we listed all of the new inventory,
parts, bikes, retail counters and such. Lastly, we irked on listing the modern
parts and tools in the current workshop. Like we say, “there is something for
everyone here”! Stay Alert, this auction will be like reading the novel “War
& Peace” !
